I had made plans to come in here a month before as my first post-powerlifting competition meal the morning after the meet. I knew of the place and saw it was close to our hotel so I made sure to make plans to come to visit to eat up good and see for myself how good the place really was. The hype was genuine as it was truly very good from start to end for me and my girlfriend who came in on a Sunday morning at about 945am. A line of about 20 or more was already standing outside ready to get their brunch grub game on as well. The line moved quickly though I admit that.

This place seats about 325 people if I recall accurately and they were filling those seats up for sure! A good sign you are at a good place when it’s that busy! We got seated by manager Derek and were taken care of by both GM Misty and server Aaron. We also got to speak to operations director Tracy who was just awesome to us the whole time. I love getting the inside story on places like this with origins going on 60+ years in biz.

It did take a little while for our food to get out but given how busy it was I really can’t blame the kitchen for that, you can only make so much so fast in so much space…maybe 20 minutes or so we had all our grub brought out and the wait was worth it!

Loved the appetizer of 2 mini Dutch baby pancakes, apple, blueberry, strawberry, and lemon/powdered sugar was. We crushed those things.

My FitTrainer omelet was a welcome menu find as I love omelets with veggies and lean meat like this with shredded chicken, turkey bacon, and spinach plus sliced avocado, minus any cheese which I can’t do anyway due to my lactose issues. The three-stack pancakes it comes with are your pick of 5 types and I went with my favorite hard-to-find cornmeal hotcakes and these were darn good. I also got a ham slice which was done perfectly and had a nice sweet honey glaze on it which I really liked.

My girlfriend Stacy got a ham and cheese skillet with eggs and taters which she said was pretty darn good. It sure looked like it to.

The coffee is dark, tasty, and always coming at you for a full cup. They even have flavored creamers for you to pick from here! Take a look at the array of daily made house miniature pies they have available in the display case as well. Had we not been so full as it was, we would have grabbed a couple for sure!

Stellar service, kind staff, nifty old-school style decor, and great breakfast fare at reasonable prices and good portions… what is not to love about that? Open 24 hours and doing take-out orders as well. Winner in my book for sure. Ask for Misty or Aaron on your next stop here, you’ll love them! Full photo album found here.
